Cayls, Sarah and Me at The Mod Club where we went dancing after dins on my b-day. I look super short when I'm next to those two tall girlies :)
Me and my great friend Sarah from Queen's. She's at the Fac of Ed right now. The next day we had lots of fun wandering around Kensington Market.
Here is a cute pic of me and Johnny at my birthday dinner at terroni's restaurant in TO- yummy pizzas and pastas!
Here I am with the amazing fuschia roses my Mom and Dad have me for my 25th birthday. I just happened to have on matching fuschia lippie....a coincidence? You be the judge!! Makes my teeth look white anyway.....(ps. Man, I look pale- I need to get back to the India sun!) For those of you who know my Mom's cool painted stones she makes...she's still doin' em and you can see some in the background.

Great Big Sea!
Oh My God,
Last night I went to the best concert I have ever been to in my life!! Great Big Sea played the Western Fair- and it was sooooooo good! They played all my fave songs: Lukey's Boat, General Taylor, Patty Murphy, Ordinary Day- and everyone else's fave songs too! They must have played 23 songs or so.....2 encores totalling 4 songs. Man it was good. They have such energy and they just get everyone clapping and waving their hands in the air. I wore my Roots Canada shirt to show National pride. It was so cute- at one point this little girl handed the lead singer a card she had made in crayon that said 'I Heart Great Big Sea' and they sang a song just for her....it was so cute. Anyway, if you ever get a chance to see GBS live, SEE THEM- even if you don't know a lot of their songs, they put on a phenomenal sh0w. Peace out.

A Hard Life...
Staying smart by playing Trivial Pursuit at Kurt's house!
Kerschl's barn on his family's property in Welland, ON
Yep...hard life here in Canada with the hot tub parties and all! At Kerschl's for a 'comiserate' party resplete with wine and a BBQ!
Johnny surveys the goods!
Oops- this pic is here twice....
Me and my fave wine to the upper right- Geuwertzraminer!
Well, as you all know- I have been 'stranded' here in Canada for the past few weeks. So, this past weekend a few of us decided to get together to 'comiserate.' Remember, as good as this looks, I'd still rather be slaving away at work in India....is something wrong with this?!
First, John and I travelled to Niagara on-the-Lake (NOTL) Friday night. We stayed at a cute B & B called Whispering Winds (see me and Johnny above..) It had an 'Indian' (from India) theme, so I liked it. We went for dinner Friday night and went out Saturday morning to wander the shops in NOTL. Then at around 1:30 we started visiting some of the many, many wineries in the area. Some we visited were Riverview, Sunnybrook Farm Estates, Peller Estates, Reif, and more. We ate at Hillebrand Sunday night- yummy!! After the wineries, we drove to Kurt's family house in Welland (about 1/2 hour from NOTL) It is a beautiful area and Kerschl's family has a lovely property and a cute doggie, Suma (see pics) We had a delicious BBQ dinner there and melted our visa cares away in the hot tub :) We sure live a hard life over here in perpetual 'wait land'! The next day we just hung around and ate and played games till 5pm-ish. Then John and I left to go to Hillebrand. After Hillebrand, we stayed overnight at the Hilton in Niagara Falls and John took me back to Aldershot train station the next morning! What a fun weekend!
